Thomas Banks, PhD, DABR

Dr Banks received his PhD in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2007 for work on an experiment studying nuclear muon capture by the proton. After working for several years as a postdoc on neutrino and neutrinoless double beta-decay experiments, Dr Banks transitioned to medical physics, completing a radiation-therapy residency at Stanford in 2018. He joined the UT Southwestern Radiation Oncology faculty that same year as an Assistant Professor, and received his DABR certification and Texas license in 2019.
