Shenelle Wilson, Founder and CEO of Urology Unbound, Urologist, Urogynecologist
Dr. Wilson is a fellowship-trained urologist who focuses on reconstructive surgery. She has a special interest in prolapse repair, neurogenic bladder, and voiding and sexual dysfunction in both men and women. She earned her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in 2013 before completing residency at the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University in 2018 and fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2020.
In 2020, Dr. Wilson founded the nonprofit Urology Unbound, which works to increase the recruitment, retention and promotion of Black urologists. The organization runs the R Frank Jones Urology Interest Group, a pipeline program for Black, Latinx, and Native American/Alaskan Native medical students interested in urology. In early 2021, she received the Young Urologist of the Year Award from the American Urological Association (AUA) in recognition of her work with Urology Unbound.
