Dr. Kehinde Obikoya is Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Obikoya is the Program Director of the UT Southwestern Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship program and serves as the Medical Director of the Special Needs Offender Program at Metrocare Services. Dr. Obikoya completed medical school at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Drexel University, and her fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at Yale University. She is board certified in Forensic and Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Obikoya is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. She has experience in inpatient, community and academic psychiatry. She provides clinical treatment for patients with severe mental illnesses who are involved in the criminal justice system, including in jail diversion, outpatient competency restoration and forensic assertive community treatment programs in Dallas County.
