Siu-Hin Wan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), diabetic cardiomyopathy, and echocardiography/noninvasive cardiovascular testing.

Dr. Wan earned his medical degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and received advanced training in cardiovascular diseases, advanced echocardiography, and advanced heart failure through fellowships at the Mayo Clinic.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and by the National Board of Echocardiography, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.

Dr. Wan’s research interests include the pathophysiology and novel therapeutics in the field of diastolic dysfunction and HFpEF. Specific areas of interest include the relationship between diabetes, diastolic dysfunction, and HFpEF. He has delivered numerous national and international presentations and contributed to the book Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy: Risk Factors, Management and Long-Term Outlook.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Heart Failure Society of America, among other professional organizations.
