Brian Wagers, M.D. FAAP
Dr. Wagers graduated from Hanover College and completed his medical undergraduate training at the University of Cincinnati. He then completed a pediatrics residency, chief residency, and fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He joined the faculty of the Indiana University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics in 2013 and he continues to practice clinically in the Riley Hospital for Children emergency department. In 2018 he became the Physician Director of Maternal and Pediatric Quality and Safety where he oversees and coordinates efforts focused on improving the care delivered to the patients and families at Riley Hospital. In 2021 he assumed the position of Associate Chief Medical Officer for Riley Hospital for Children and was promoted to Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. His interests include health policy, hospital operations, quality and safety initiatives and process improvement. An avid runner and traveler, Dr. Wagers loves to combine these passions by running in new places to learn about the cities and locales to which he ventures.
