Rebecca Rogers, MD
Rebecca Rogers, MD, is Professor and Chair of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albany Medical Center. With over 30 years of clinical experience, she specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Rogers earned her medical degree from Harvard University and completed both a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in urogynecology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM). During her time at the UNM, she built a specialized team of physicians, midwives, physical therapists, nurses, research, and administrative staff to treat women with pelvic floor disorders. She was then recruited to the Department of Women’s Health at the University of Texas, Austin. In Austin, she served as the Director and founder of the Women’s Health Institute, and was responsible for designing and delivering value based care.
Dr. Rogers has received a lifetime achievement award from the National Association for Continence for her substantial contributions to urogynecology in clinical care, research, and education. She has also authored over 200 papers and made substantial contributions to the development of patient-reported outcome measures with a focus on sexual function.
