Victoria Udezi, MD MPH
Victoria Udezi, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She completed a residency in family medicine with a distinction in global health and community action research and a fellowship in community medicine, both at UT Southwestern. She also holds a master’s degree in public health with a global health concentration from UT Health Science Center at Houston.
Dr. Udezi is committed to addressing health disparities and improving the physical and mental health status of the local and global community. She pursues this through trauma informed care, community engagement, research, and advocacy. Her research interests include health disparities and trauma response in clinical care and services. She co-directs the Health Equity, Advocacy and Research Track and chairs the diversity, equity and inclusion committee in the department of Family and Community medicine.
She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
