Ladan Agharokh
Dr. Agharokh received her Bachelor of Arts in 2008 through the Plan II Honors Program, a liberal arts honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to earn her M.D. from UT Southwestern Medical School in 2012. She completed her internship and pediatric residency training at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Northwestern McGaw Medical School in 2015. After residency, Dr. Agharokh moved back to Texas to serve as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In addition to her clinical responsibilities as a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Medical Center, Dr. Agharokh’s dedication to education has been recognized by medical students through faculty teaching awards given by Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society.
In 2018, Dr. Agharokh joined the pediatric clerkship leadership team as Associate Clerkship Director. She is devoted to innovation in medical education through focus on communication skills, simulation (including high-fidelity and standardized patients) and family-centered care. In addition, Dr. Agharokh has an interest in professional development across the learning continuum, spending time mentoring pre-medical and medical students, residents, and peers.
