Caroline Rinaldi is an Associate Professor of Anatomy at UT Southwestern where she has taught Human Anatomy to medical and health professions students since joining the faculty in 2016. Prior to coming to UT Southwestern, she taught Clinical Anatomy to medical and dental students at The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine from 1999 to 2016, where she was a pioneer in the use of the Team-Based Learning method of instruction. Dr. Rinaldi earned a PhD degree at the University of Kansas in 1999, specializing in Vertebrate Paleontology and the evolution of mammalian form and function. She also holds a BS degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma. Her areas of research interest include the incremental structure of teeth and other mineralized tissues, growth and eruption of teeth, and the evolution and functional morphology of teeth and jaws.
