Biography:
Dr George Du Toit
George du Toit is Professor of Paediatric Allergy, King’s College London and Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
George is active in clinical research where his major focus has been the prevention and treatment of food allergy. George is Senior Senior Investigator on the NIH-funded LEAP-Trio study (aimed at assessing the long term allergy outcomes of a peanut intervention in high risk infants), Co-PI of the EAT-On Study (aimed at assessing the long term allergy and health outcomes of a 6 food intervention in the EAT Study) and CI (UK) on numerous Peanut Allergy Desensitisation trials.
George is the lead clinician for the NHS Children’s Drug Allergy service at Evelina London Children’s Hospital and past Chairperson of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Paediatric Section.
