I am an infectious diseases (ID) trained physician and program director for the combined Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) ID fellowship. My central area of expertise is on multidisciplinary care to enhance outcomes of complex patient populations, with a particular focus on the management of patients with drug use-associated infective endocarditis. Through this work, I am the Director of the MGH Drug Use Endocarditis Treatment Team. Additionally, I have expertise on optimizing the medical education of healthcare professionals via curriculum development and mentorship, with a focus on the subspecialities of antimicrobial stewardship, infection control and biothreats. I am an active member of the MGH ID Division Antimicrobial Stewardship committee and subject matter expert on medical education in the MGH Center for Disaster Medicine.
