A. Personal Statement
As a current geriatric orthopedic trauma attending at UTSW, I am committed to caring for the elderly and most frail. With a combination of my shoulder and elbow training I feel like I can truly care for the entire geriatric patient. My focus for my career is to make a difference in the field of geriatric orthopedics by enhancing care for older patients within the preoperative period and preventing future fractures from occurring. I am seeking a grant to enhance my clinical research capabilities and experience, with the goal to establish a career trajectory as an independent clinical investigator in the field of patient care for which I am most passionate.
