David Ford, HIE Parent and President, Hope for HIE Boards of Directors

David is the second-generation owner of a small, independent gymnastics and dance business located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the family business, he spent more than ten years in the non-profit sector focused primarily on fundraising.
David has dedicated time to volunteering for several organizations over the years. Hope for HIE became his passion and priority following the birth of his daughter, Scarlett, in 2014. She was diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) at birth. Since discovering Hope for HIE he has worked diligently to support and advance the organization’s mission, which is to improve the quality of life for children and families affected by neonatal and pediatric-acquired Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy through awareness, education, and support. He currently serves as president of the organization’s board of directors.
David has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Elon University. He and his wife, Heidi, live in Pipersville, Pennsylvania with their two daughters.
