Sudha Anupindi, Sudha A. Anupindi MD FSAR
Dr. Anupindi received her medical training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and completed her residency in radiology at Morristown Memorial Hospital in N.J. and fellowship training at Yale Children's Hospital, New Haven, CT. After fellowship she was recruited to Massachusetts General Hospital where she was an Assistant Radiologist, a member of the Division of Pediatric Radiology and an Instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School till 2006. Dr. Anupindi has been a faculty member at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and working at CHOP since 2006 and is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology. She was recruited to CHOP to establish a GI radiology section, develop GI imaging techniques and build research and educational collaborations with the Division of Gastroenterology Nutrition and Hepatology at CHOP. Dr. Anupindi has successfully accomplished this. She has been Chief of the Division of Body Imaging at CHOP since 2018 with close to 30 body radiologists in her division covering 8 different sub-specialty sections. She has published over 140 papers numerous, peer-reviewed reviews (including invited reviews) and book chapters on bowel imaging and pancreatitis which has helped her gain both national and international recognition in her field. In addition to past funded multi-institutional endeavors, Dr. Anupindi currently is focused on two funded projects where she is the PI: 1) Fosberg-Jefferson Pediatric SHAPE Portal HTN study, R01 NIH funded, 7/2018-6/2023 and 2) Validation of MR elastography for the pancreas, Seed Grant Department of Radiology. Her main clinical areas of concentration are bowel, pancreas and liver imaging.
