I am a Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiologist subspecializing in the field of Heart Failure and Transplantation. I am also the director of the Cardiopulmonary Stress Lab at Children's Health, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
My areas of research focus include using Exercise Training to improve quality of life and outcomes in Pediatric and Young Adult patients with complex congenital heart disease. Another area of research focus is application of Innovations in Health Technology -Telemedicine and Remote Monitoring platforms to improve delivery of care to Pediatric and young adult patients with complex congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease.
I received my medical training from Aga Khan Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan and further post graduate residency and fellowship training in Pediatrics and Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and Emory University, Atlanta, GA respectively. I completed additional training as a Clinical Instructor in Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplantation. I am board certified in care of Pediatric and Adult patients with Congenital Heart disease.
