Frank Feigenbaum, MD, FAANS, FACS
Dr. Feigenbaum is a neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of meningeal cysts of the spine. Spinal meningeal cysts are disproportionately found in the sacrum, and in women, who frequently present with symptoms that are first encountered by their gynecologists. It is Dr. Feigenbaum's goal to increase awareness of this disease among practitioners of gynecology. Dr. Feigenbaum underwent medical school and neurosurgical residency training at Georgetown University and Georgetown University Medical Center. While beginning as a minimally invasive spine surgeon in 2000, his focus on the treatment of rare spinal meningeal cysts became a niche that overtook his practice, and he has authored multiple articles and book chapters on the topic. His practice is based in Dallas where he operates primarily at Medical City Heart and Spine Hospital. He also regularly travels overseas to perform surgeries as a member of the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (AIMISS) based in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he treats international patients with spinal meningeal cysts..
