Jessica Dabis, PT DPT OCS
Jessica Dabis, P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S., is a pediatric sports physical therapist at Scottish Rite for Children in Frisco, with special interests in treating lumbopelvic-hip diagnoses, ACL rehabilitations, and a specialized interest in artistic athlete populations. She is a member of Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine (PRISM) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and presented on ACL Return to Sport testing risk factors recently at the PRiSM 2022 conference.
Based on a philosophy of multi-disciplinary care management to return athletes to sport, she has developed the CLEAReD program (Comprehensive Lower Extremity Assessment and Return to play (RTP) Decision-making) with her colleagues at Scottish Rite for Children Sports Medicine Center, with a focus on the pediatric ACL population. CLEAReD programming highlights the importance of managing contributing factors from psychological, nutritional, and social perspectives, which play valuable roles in optimizing or deterring from physical rehabilitation goals. From a rehabilitation perspective, her work includes ongoing optimization of the current RTP testing battery at SRH, development of research initiatives for neurocognitive interventions and RTP testing, and a focus on sport-specific and pediatric population-specific factors.
