Born with a cleft palate.  Corrected with surgeries. Grew up in Mertens TX and have worked for Frost school district for over 38 years.  

While going to get my bus on the morning of December 2, 2019 was in a head on collision. Was flown to Parkland hospital and spent nearly 8 weeks there. Had numerous broken bones that would take five surgeries to repair. Then spent three weeks in an accute care facility and then two months in rehab facility. 

After four months and one week was able to go home but would have home health care for four months there.  Another six weeks of occupational therapy after that. 

On the second anniversary of the day of the accident I went back to work driving the school bus.
