Asheen Rama, MD
Dr. Asheen Rama is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at Stanford University. He is a member of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology and completed his residency at UC San Diego followed by a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Since completing an additional fellowship in medical simulation at Stanford in 2019, he regularly conducts and organizes medical simulations in various hospital units using traditional in situ simulations as well as immersive technology such as augmented and virtual reality. He teaches an array of participants including medical students, residents, fellows, and nurses. Asheen is a member of the pediatric neuroanesthesia team, and his research interests and nonclinical activities include simulation, quality improvement, medical education, and medical humanities. He also serves as the medical student clerkship director for the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology.
