Gaston Baslet, M.D.

Dr. Baslet completed medical school in Buenos Aires, Argentina and his training in psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Baslet is currently chief of the division of neuropsychiatry, co-director of the Center for Brain/Mind Medicine and co-director of the neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology fellowship training program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He leads a clinical-research program on functional neurological disorder at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and has conducted clinical research to improve understanding and broaden treatment options to address functional seizures and other subtypes of functional neurological disorder. Dr. Baslet is also interested in promoting the integration of neuroscience into medical education and is the director of medical student education at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Baslet is associate professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
