Lebanon David, DNP, NNP-BC, MSN, NPT-BC, VA-BC, NNIC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Department of Neonatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Ms. David completed her undergraduate degree and Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Pediatric Nursing from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. She earned her Post-Master degree in Neonatal Nursing from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 2008 and pursued a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2020. She has worked in nursing since 1992. Her experience includes bedside nursing in the emergency department, Medical- surgical unit, adult intensive care unit, pediatric unit, and neonatal intensive care unit in level III and level IV, neonatal transport, and advanced practice nursing with a focus on neonatology. She is passionate about neonatal pain. Her scholarly practice project in the doctorate program includes developing and implementing a neonatal pain management guideline for minor surgeries. She published the manuscript in advances in Neonatal Care journal in 2022. She continues to work on this project by developing neonatal pain management guidelines for major and complex surgeries.
