Zachary Most, M.D., M.Sc.

Dr. Most is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Infectious Disease at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and the Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention at Children’s Health System of Texas for the Dallas campus. He received his M.D. from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine then completed residency and fellowship training at UT Southwestern. He also has a Master’s of Science degree in epidemiology. As a healthcare epidemiologist, Dr. Most has led efforts to keep patients and healthcare personnel safe during epidemics such as COVID-19 and mpox, and to address emerging threats such as Candida auris. His research interests focus on the transmission dynamics of respiratory viral infections in healthcare settings, and the prevention of healthcare-associated respiratory viral infections.
