Soumya Adhikari, MD

Soumya Adhikari, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist at Children’s Health℠. He is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center and one of the Medical Directors at Camp Sweeney, the largest residential summer camp for children with diabetes in the world. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health in Dallas. In residency, he won the “White Hat Award” which is awarded each year to a graduating resident from Children’s Health after a vote of all the graduating residents, who are asked to select the one colleague who they would most want as their own child’s pediatrician. Dr. Adhikari’s clinical and research interests include leveraging the electronic health record to improve outcomes in children with endocrinologic disorders. D Magazine has continuously awarded Dr. Adhikari recognition as a Best Pediatric Specialist from 2010 to 2022.
