Laura Hayes, MD
Laura Hayes, MD is a pediatric radiologist/neuroradiologist at Nemours Children’s Health Florida & assistant professor at the University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine. She is board certified in diagnostic radiology & pediatric radiology with additional fellowship training in pediatric neuroradiology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in behavioral neuroscience & Bachelor of Arts degree in classical studies from the University of Florida. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Emory University & Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Hayes is an Executive Board member of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics & the Chair of the American Board of Radiology's Pediatric CAQ Subspecialty Board Examination Committee. Dr. Hayes is also a member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology's neuroradiology & advocacy committees. Dr. Hayes’ current research interests include fast MR imaging techniques, synthetic MRI, MR elastography of the head/spine & pediatric brain tumors with a particular interest in defeating midline gliomas.
