Meredith McAdams, MD
Meredith McAdams, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its division of Nephrology. She provides medical services at the North Texas VA Health Care System and Clements University Hospital and its affiliated clinics. Her clinical interests include acute kidney injury, ICU nephrology, and advanced chronic kidney disease.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medicine in 2018 and in Nephrology in 2020, she joined the UT Southwestern Faculty in 2022.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. McAdams holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky and completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of Kentucky. She then completed her clinical nephrology fellowship at UT Southwestern, where she served as chief nephrology fellow. She also completed a research fellowship on the T32 grant at UTSW.
Dr. McAdams’s research interests include acute kidney injury, cardiorenal syndrome, and quality of life in chronic kidney disease. Her research has resulted in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at local and national scientific conferences.
Dr. McAdams is active in several professional societies, including the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation.
