Ritu Lapsiwala, MD
I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Staff Physician at North Texas VA Healthcare System. I treat adult patients with blood disorders and a wide range of cancers at Veteran Affairs North Texas Healthcare System. I am board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine. My interest in a comprehensive holistic approach led me to complete a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona in 2016. I have also completed one year acupuncture training for physicians from Academy of Pain Research in San Francisco. I am passionate about evidence based integrative medical approaches that play a major role in disease prevention and survivorship care plan. I believe that integrative oncology which combines mainstream oncology along with a whole person approach truly benefits patients.
