For over twenty-five years I was a treating, pediatric Physical Therapist. I held advanced certification as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist through the APTA from 2008-2018. For nearly twenty years, I was the owner and Program Director of a multidisciplinary, pediatric therapy clinic in Southern California where various therapies were provided to children ages birth through young adults. A move across the country resulted in my change from practicing clinician to clinical researcher in the Movement Science Laboratory of Scottish Rite for Children, in Dallas, Texas.
I am currently in my second year at Scottish Rite. As the sole PT in the Movement Science Laboratory, my main focus is on clinical gait studies, which include a physical examination and collection/interpretation of three-dimensional gait analysis. In addition, research I am currently lead MSL member on include a longitudinal Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia study, as well as a study of Cerebral Palsy balance study.
