Chinwe Ogedegbe, MD, MPH, MBA, FACEP
Chinwe Ogedegbe M.D., MPH, MBA, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician, and epidemiologist. She serves as the Health Equity Lead, as well as Section Chief for Research in Emergency Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center-Hackensack Meridian Health, Hackensack, NJ. She is also a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, Nutley, New Jersey. Dr. Ogedegbe serves as Director of two pipeline programs she founded in 2011- NARAP and CIMs. Her work includes medical education research and focuses on the impact of evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes of diverse patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED), Smoking cessation programs, Health-Related Social Needs screening across 10 EDs within the HMH network, as well as Grant funded public health initiatives that aim to decrease the stigma underlying blood-borne viral testing such as HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, including integrating these screenings into routine care. Dr. Ogedegbe’s recent work on HIV screening, identification and linkage to care, includes Comprehensive Prevention Services (CPS for HIV), which includes PreP, PEP and Status-Neutral HIV initiatives.
