Nkem Okeke, MD, MPH, MBA, MSPM
Dr. Nkem Okeke is an award-winning kaizen entrepreneur, physician executive, and transformation strategist with a successful career spanning over two decades. Drawing from years of intercontinental and multi-disciplinary experience in the health care industry, she founded Medicalincs, a population health management and health care transformation firm. Currently, through Medicalincs, Okeke and her team advise and support health care leaders and organizations on strategic solutions improve operational efficiencies and health outcomes. Although Okeke began and enjoyed her career in clinical practice, she decided to take an unconventional path that combines her love for equitable, patient-centered care delivery and her passion for bringing rippled-value to others. She expanded her career into health care business administration, public health and health IT. Okeke’s broad experience in work and life (spanning health care to business, IT, culture, and beyond) brings a unique 360-degree value-add perspective, and tailored toolkit to help health organizations at any growth/improvement stage succeed. Over the years, she has delivered multi-million-dollar cost savings and (with her team), improved system & program efficiencies and population health outcomes for thousands of lives.
Dr. Nkem is a thought leader in the primary care transformation and value based care program design, and also served as the consultant faculty lead for America's largest model to transform payment and primary care delivery in 3000 practices across 18 regions in the US. In addition to being the CEO of her company - Medicalincs, she is currently a faculty affiliate of the Harvard Medical School, Center of Primary Care, as an expert contributor on Value Based Care; and serves on the advisory council of the Maryland Department of Health for the Maryland Primary Care Program.
