Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Seymour completed undergrad at Nova Southeastern University and medical school at Saint Georges University in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Seymour completed psychiatry residency in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the University of Cincinnati. His attraction to addiction Psychiatry came before medical school while working directly with the substance use population and volunteering in community harm reduction programs.
