Georges Bounajem
Georges Bounajem, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hip and knee arthritis, primary and revision hip replacement, and primary and revision knee replacement.
Dr. Bounajem earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center and received advanced training in adult hip and knee reconstruction through a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020.
Dr. Bounajem is a member of the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. In 2018, he received the James R. Olney, M.D. Memorial Award for Academic Achievement from the University of Kansas Medical Center’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
