Maria Lepe-Suastegui, MD
Dr Rita Lepe completed her internal medicine residency at the Finch University Health Sciences and her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at University of Illinois at Chicago. She has more than 18 years of experience as a Transplant Hepatologist at a major transplant centers. She is very interested in medical education and was Program Director for Transplant Hepatology Fellowship for ten years. Her main clinical focus has been in addressing liver diseases affecting minority populations and health care disparities in hepatology and liver transplantation. She recently joined UTSW faculty and will be seeing patients at our new Presbyterian Dallas location and THR Frisco.
