Matthew Wicklund, Professor of Neurology, Vice Chair for Research, Department of Neurology, UT Health San Antonio
Dr. Wicklund is professor of neurology and vice chair for research within the department of neurology at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He provides clinical care for, and conducts research in, neuromuscular disorders, specializing in genetic muscle diseases. He is fellowship trained in clinical neuromuscular disease and neuromuscular pathology and has lectured nationally on neuromuscular disorders for more than 20 years. He has been involved in a wide variety of research studies and has served as site investigator for 3 neuromuscular research consortia in muscular dystrophies. His department's growing research portfolio includes 30+ faculty members with 50+ clinical trials with $1.9M in research funding.
