Christina Chan, M.D.
Christina Chan, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Chan earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics and received advanced training in neonatology through a fellowship at the UC San Diego Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in neonatal-perinatal medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Dr. Chan is the Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nursery (SCN) at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Dallas (THD), a Level 3 NICU. She serves on several committees at UT Southwestern, including the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine’s medical informatics group and the Neonatal Conference Committee. She is also the program director for the THD Annual Neonatal Symposium.
Named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor Rising Star in 2019 and 2020, Dr. Chan has delivered numerous international and national invited lectures and published several academic articles.
Her current research and projects are focused on the use of point-of-care ultrasound in the NICU, neonatal resuscitation improvements in community hospitals, and outreach education for community physicians.
