Prof. Yehonatan Sharabi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel 1986, and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center. Between 2001 and 2003, he trained as a research and clinical fellow in neurocardiology at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Holding an academic position at Sackler School of Medicine since 1994, Prof Sharabi is the Head of the Hypertension Unit, an attending physician in Internal Medicine at the Sheba Medical Center, and an adjunct investigator at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA.
Prof. Sharabi is deeply involved in the science of medicine and education. His extensive research has been published in over 100 papers, reviews, chapters, and books. His research focuses on the role of the sympathetic nervous system in blood pressure regulation and its consequences. Over the last two decades, Prof Sharabi focused on the pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease and related disorders with an emphasis on early detection and highlighting potential disease-modifying interventions..
