A. Personal Statement
I am a motivated and skilled nurse practitioner with 2 years of experience as advanced practice provider and over 15 years of nursing experience in the fields of geriatrics, neurology, and palliative care. In the past 2 years with the Vanderbilt Autonomic Dysfunction Center, I have become an evolving patient-oriented investigator and provider in the outpatient, inpatient and research settings. My leadership role in this field is demonstrated by my various scholarly and academic activities. I am eager to offer my expertise in evaluating and treating patients with neurologic and autonomic disorders. Currently, I am involved in 12 plus studies with the autonomic dysfunction research group, I assist with autonomic function testing and interpretation, blood volume measurements using carbon monoxide rebreathing method, endothelial cell collection using J-wire, insulin clamps, as well as manage patients in the Autonomic Dysfunction clinic.
