Parisa Ann Suthun, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Suthun earned her medical degree at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. She completed internal medicine residency training and infectious diseases fellowship training at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Constorium. Upon completion of her military service, she returned to Texas to care for her fellow veterans at the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS). Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Dr. Suthun was a member of the UT Southwestern faculty from 2006 to 2010 during her affiliation with the VANTHCS. After spending 12 years in private practice, she rejoined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Dr. Suthun is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, HIV Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society.
