I am a urologist and certified ethics consultant. I obtained my medical degree at Georgetown University where I also completed my residency in urology and stayed on as faculty. After moving to Dallas I was employed by University of Texas Southwestern as staff for the Parkland Health and Hospital System urology service, where I remained for nine years, until 2018. I also served as faculty for the Program in Ethics in Science in Medicine for 7 years and served as ethics consultant for Parkland Hospital. Recently, I have become employed in the Population Health Department in the Community-Oriented Primary Care Clinics of Parkland Health and Hospital System to provide care to the transgender population, to serve as Vice Chair of Ethics for the Parkland Institutional Ethics Committee and to serve as co-chair of the Joy @ Work steering group to promote physician wellness and prevent burnout through improving joy at work!
