Devin Trousdale, MD
I started my journey to medicine in 1991 as a pre-med student at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, then earning a BA in Biology at Austin College, and deferring medical school for a year while studying public health in Latin America via a Thomas J. Watson Foundation Fellowship. I graduated medical school at UTMB Galveston in 2001, completed residency in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UTSW in 2005, followed by a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellowship in 2006, then worked nearly a decade in private practice before returning to UTSW in 2019 as an Assistant Professor at UTSW, where I practice at Parkland Hospital. I have volunteered with the Dallas County Medical Reserve Corps as a resident since Hurricane Katrina, and during the vaccine drives of 2021 volunteered with them as well as RISD and Parkland Hospital in vaccinating the community against COVID-19. My hobbies include traveling with my family, cooking, biking, and kayaking together as family. We are often on the road traveling all over Texas and points beyond.
