Anthony I. Riccio, MD completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, earned his medical doctorate at Georgetown University School of Medicine, performed his general surgery internship at National Naval Medical Center, completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center and completed the Dorothy and Bryant Edwards Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis Surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.  He served as the Director of Pediatric Orthopadic Surgery and Residency Program Director at Naval Medical Center San Diego until 2010 at which time he returned to Dallas.  Dr Riccio is a staff pediatric orthopeadic surgeon at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children where he also serves as the Director of Pediatric Orthopaedic Education and directs resident activities.  He is an associate professor at UT Southwestern School of Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.  Dr. Riccio has served on numerous committees for the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, a member of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of both the American Academy Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He has authored or co-authored numerous book chapters and over 40 peer reviewed scientific articles.  His specialty interests include pediatric orthopedic trauma, infantile and adolescent foot deformity and orthopedic education.
