Roxana Bustamante, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Roxana Bustamante is a board- certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Roxana grew up in New Jersey and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware. She later attended Columbia University’s accelerated nursing program and continued on to get her master’s degree in their Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She began her professional career in healthcare as a kidney and liver transplant nurse at NYU Langone Medical Center. She then worked as a Hospitalist nurse practitioner at Yale- New Haven Hospital in Connecticut for 5 years before transitioning to a Thoracic Surgery specialty at UT Southwestern. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from Yale School of Nursing in the Spring of 2023. She’s committed to lifelong learning and providing safe, high-quality clinical care. She is passionate about patient education and advocacy.
