Christopher Wrobel, M.D.
Christopher Allen Wrobel, M.D. is an Assistant Professor Medicine within the Division of Cardiology and Section of Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Transplant. He joined the faculty in 2023.
Dr. Wrobel is a graduate of Duke University (2009) and Indiana University School of Medicine, AOA (2015). Dr. Wrobel trained in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern followed by Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology at Duke University where he also served as chief cardiology fellow.
Dr. Wrobel currently leads outreach efforts in Tyler, TX and Waco, TX to expand access to heart failure care/advanced therapies to communities in East and Central Texas.
His key areas of interest include cardiac transplantation, specifically expansion of the donor pool and strategies to manage allosensitization, as well as short term mechanical circulatory support as a bridge to advanced therapies.
