45th Annual Resident and Alumni Day (RP2506A)
This one-day live course provides practicing ophthalmologists with updates on diagnostics, therapeutics, and surgical advancements. Through didactic lectures, an ethics presentation, and interactive Q&A sessions, attendees will assess new treatments, analyze disparities in care, review complex cases, and explore the ethical implications of ophthalmic practice. Addressing key gaps in knowledge, competence, and performance, this course enhances clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives
- Evaluate the comparative outcomes, risks, and benefits of newer ophthalmic procedures (e.g., Xen gel stent vs. trabeculectomy, topo-guided vs. wavefront-optimized LASIK) to enhance clinical decision-making and patient care.
- Identify and evaluate ocular side effects of new chemotherapy drugs.
- Assess outcomes and adverse effects of emerging procedures in cataract, oculoplastic, and corneal surgery.
- Analyze disparities in ocular outcomes and practice patterns based on patient disabilities and physician experience levels.
