Short bio:
Dr. Jason Zaremski is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. He currently assumes the role of Chief of Sports Medicine, was the Associate Program Director of the PM&R Residency from 2023-2025, is the Medical Director of the PM&R Clinics, and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Florida Department of PM&R. He was the Co-Medical Director of the University of Florida Adolescent and High School Sports Medicine Outreach Program from 2012-2022. He is active member in the American Medical Society for Sports medicine, American Academy of PM&R, and the American College of Sports Medicine as well is a Fellow in all 3 societies (one of only 5 Physiatrists in the United States that is a fellow in all 3 societies as of 2023). He was an elected member of the board of directors of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM) from 2019-2023. Dr Zaremski is part of the Faculty for the University of Florida Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship. Further, he was the Head Medical Officer for the World Baseball Softball Confederation U18 Baseball World Cup in September 2022, is a team physician for the Team USA U17 Women’s Soccer team and was a Team Physician for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics Games.
Dr. Zaremski has over 100 poster, abstract, and manuscript publications with a focus in sports medicine and upper extremity and throwing related injuries. Dr. Zaremski has published and presented internationally on throwing injuries in overhead athletes involving the shoulder and elbow, including at the International Olympic Committee’s World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport in Monte Carlo in March 2017, November 2021, and Feb 2024 on throwing injuries in adolescent athletes. Dr. Zaremski has also presented on throwing injuries in Japan, Puerto Rico, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
