Nurse Scientist - Magnet Program & Nursing Research
Dr. Alejandro-White joined UT Southwestern Medical Center as a Nurse Scientist in August 2023. Jose currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves. He most recently served as the Chief Nurse Executive for the Edward J Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Health System in Chicago.
Dr. Alejandro-White is a national Past President of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (2012-2014) and Case Management Society of America (2018-2020). He serves as Treasurer (2024 - 2028) for the American Association of Men in Nursing and previously served as Treasurer for Sigma. Dr. Alejandro-White is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Virginia Henderson & Sigma Fellow of Sigma Theta Tau International.
