Personal Statement
I am a Clinical Associate Professor at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. My practice has evolved from a general obstetrics & gynecology practice to gynecology only with an interest in menopausal medicine and women's preventative health care. I became the Medical Director of the Lowe Foundation Center for Women's Preventative Health Care in 2019 and have been active on numerous hospital committees to promote women's medical and surgical services. I received certification in clinical bone densitometry and read the DXA scans performed in our Clinic I collaborate with my Urology colleagues to perform prolapse and incontinence surgery and have become a member of the North American Menopausal Society. My expertise in hormone therapy and management of menopausal symptoms has been sought out by other departments and I give lectures to our Reproductive Endocrine Fellows as well as our Physician Assistant students. I wish to expand my practice to include clinical research to support women's health care as well as the mission of translational medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
