Kyaw Soe, MD

Kyaw Soe is an endocrinologist and associate professor of medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Dallas VA Medical Center. His areas of research interest are male hypogonadism, transgender hormone therapy and lipid disorders. His research has been funded by the Department of Defense, Veteran Health Administration, National Institutes of Health, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Soe won multiple teaching awards and was invited to give talks internationally. He has also been actively involved in educational activities of professional societies such as the Endocrine Society, the Association of American Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American College of Physicians.
He serves as a member of the board exam item writing committee of the American Board of Internal Medicine (endocrinology and metabolism board exam) and on various committees of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society. He currently serves as an associated editor of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism journal and has been a reviewer for medical journals such as JCEM Case Reports journal, Andrology, AACE Case Reports, Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism.
Dr. Soe has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications in areas related to diabetes, lipid disorders, transgender care, and testosterone therapy
