Sunny Dedmon, AGACNP-BC
Sunny Dedmon, AGACNP-BC, is a board certified Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and specializes in Surgical Intensive Critical Care and Nutritional Support. Miss Dedmon began working in Internal Medicine at UTSW in 2021 prior to transferring to the Surgery department in 2023.
With over 14 years of nursing experience her clinical proficiencies include neuro, trauma, cardiovascular, and surgical intensive care; liver transplant and gastrointestinal services; and perioperative and postoperative anesthesia.
Miss Dedmon graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, minoring in Psychology. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. Following graduation, she gained invaluable experience working as a registered nurse in intensive care and studying Nurse Anesthesia at Texas Christian University before graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018.
Miss Dedmon is board certified by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She is a maintains her certification in critical care and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
