8th Annual UTSW Health System Celebration of Excellence (RP2605D)
The annual UTSW Health System Celebration of Excellence recognizes individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to the health system's success, highlighting examples of innovation, and improvement in quality, patient experience, people, and financial stewardship. This year’s keynote speaker, Harry S. Hertz, Ph.D., FAAAS, HFACHE, will address the need for “Systems Thinking in Academic Medicine”, and specifically, exploring leadership's role and response to that emphasis. Strategies will be offered to bridge the gap between conceptual understanding of systems thinking and its practical application. Insights gained from the keynote presentation serve as a catalyst for positive change and collective growth within the health system for the coming year. All UT Southwestern Health System employees are encouraged to attend this event in-person or via livestream. The target audience is anyone involved in enhancing teamwork, organizational performance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, which includes: physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, clinical support staff, and non-clinical staff responsible for ensuring highly reliable support process and quality patient care.
