Effective Sept. 1, the Texas Medical Board (TMB) will use the CE Broker platform to track continuing education compliance, which means all TMB licensees will need to maintain and monitor their continuing education records in CE Broker.

A free Basic CE Broker account is enough to meet the TMB tracking requirement. However, to better support clinicians during this transition, UT Southwestern is partnering with CE Broker to provide eligible TMB-licensed clinicians with a complimentary, 1-year CE Broker Professional membership at no cost.

The professional membership includes:

  • Real-time renewal visibility: See exactly where you stand on your TMB renewal requirements at any time, such as hours completed, hours remaining, and what's still needed.
  • Alerts for missing requirements: Receive proactive notifications so nothing slips through the cracks as your renewal deadline approaches.
  • Streamlined transcript management: View your complete CE history in one place, verify provider-reported credits, and self-report any activities not automatically submitted.
  • Credential tracking: Maintain a centralized record of key credentials like BLS and CPR certifications alongside your CE transcript.

Check your email for your unique redemption code.
Codes must be redeemed within 30 days of receipt.

Before you begin, review your EthosCE profile with your TMB license information. Keeping TMB license information updated helps ensure eligible UTSW CME credits are reported automatically into CE Broker.

  1. Go to the EthosCE webpage and log in or create an account.
  2. Navigate to My Account → Edit → Profile
  3. Scroll to Board Certification
  4. Select Texas from the Specialty Board/License dropdown
  5. Enter your TMB license number and confirm your licensee type
  6. Save your changes

Note: Include any middle or second name in the First Name field — CE Broker does not recognize the Middle Name field from EthosCE.

How to redeem your code

Step 1: Create a free Basic CE Broker account (if you don't have one)

You'll need a CE Broker account before you can apply your UTSW code. If you don't already have one, create a free Basic account and claim your TMB license at: cebroker.com

Step 2: Upgrade to Professional using your UTSW code

Once your account is set up, locate your unique code in your UTSW email, then:

  1. Log in at cebroker.com
  2. Select Upgrade and choose the Professional plan
  3. Enter your code at checkout: your account will be upgraded at no cost to you.

If you already have a Basic account, no new account is needed — simply log in and follow the steps above.

By redeeming your code, you acknowledge that UT Southwestern will receive redemption and activation data for administrative tracking and program improvement purposes.

If you already have a paid CE Broker subscription, you don't need to redeem a code. No reimbursement is offered for your subscription purchase.
